If you've been following Respire since the PPE days, you know our journey: from manufacturing sustainable masks to evolving into a platform for conscious living. We've always been about more than products.
We've been about helping people become better consumers and citizens of the planet.
But here's what we realized during these months of silence: talking about sustainability as a faceless corporation feels... corporate. And that's not who we are.
So, we're doing something different.
Meet Eco Eddie and Eco Edie
They're a brother-sister duo of turtle ambassadors and the new voices of Respire USA. They're taking over this blog, and honestly? It's about time our mission had a personality.
Why Turtles?
Turtles have been around for millions of years. They've adapted to changing environments, outlasted species that couldn't keep up, and mastered one essential truth: slow, steady progress wins the race.
If that doesn't describe what we all need right now—in our climate anxiety, our burnout culture, our "do everything perfectly or don't try" mindset—we don't know what does.
Eddie and Edie are here to remind us:
You don't have to be perfect. You just have to keep going.
Meet the Duo
Eddie is the reflective one. He's the voice in your head asking, "But why does it work that way?" He loves unpacking systems—why recycling is broken, how greenwashing tricks us, what "carbon neutral" actually means. He's patient, curious, and believes understanding leads to better choices.
Edie is the activator. She's the friend who says, "Okay, we get it. Now what are we going to DO?" She's leading challenges, testing eco-swaps, and proving that action beats perfection every time.
Together, they're what we all need: the wisdom to understand the problem and the energy to do something about it.
What's Changing (and What's Not)
Starting now, this blog will feel different. Instead of posts signed "Respire Team," you'll hear from Eddie and Edie directly. They'll bring personality, nuance, and a little more joy to the heavy topics we've always covered.
